Worked as Art Administration Intern, Black Rock Arts Foundation by Kehinde Wiley (New York, NYC) under the company’s Senior Programs Manager, Michelle Fikrig on logistics and planning for the organisation’s launch of its branch in Dakar, Senegal

 Assisted in the selection of catalogue artists for the winter Black Rock exhibitions

 Brainstormed financing strategies for publications and strategies concerning winter foundation events.

Phillip Munyoki Kinoti - Member Board

A Finance and Accounting, and Real Estate Management and Development double major, with a Legal Studies minor, currently pursuing studies at Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Passionate about driving impact through financial literacy and personal finance development, He serves as a Student Facilitator for the Dragon Network under the Department of Institutional Advancement at Drexel University.

 Catherine is Managing Director and Founder of Ortus Solutions Group Ltd, a consulting firm designing and delivering solutions in Leadership, Personal Growth and Corporate Strategy.

Her exposure working in a multinational company and with global teams has earned her strong leadership skills as well as experience in distribution & Change management, strategic planning and building strong teams.

 Mwenesi has spent over 12 years in senior management positions in various multinationals both in South Africa and Kenya. As a corporate lawyer and communications professional with a master’s degree in international trade and commercial law from University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, Mwenesi founded House of Major in 2014, a strategy and communications firm based in Nairobi, Kenya.

Mark Muriithi Laichena - Board Member

Mark Laichena serves as a Director on the Africa Girl Capital team at the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF), spearheading the development and management of investments with a focus on girls’ education and young women’s livelihoods. His commitment lies in enhancing opportunities and agency for young individuals while nurturing African leaders.

Juliet Njogu - Board Member

 Managing Director and Founder – The Social House Nairobi and Alba Hotel Meru.

Following an early career in the finance industry Juliet, with husband and business partner Francis, developed and opened the first luxury hotel in Meru, central Kenya. Boosted by the success of this project and bitten by the hospitality bug Juliet then set about developing another property in Lavington, Nairobi, which subsequently became The Social House.

George Njenga, PhD, MSc, MBA, BSc, CPA (K) - Advisory Board

Founding Dean of Strathmore University Business School; Chief of Party of USAID Strategic Partnership Program, Director of Strathmore Research and Consulting Company, and a seasoned Senior Lecturer for over 25 years.

He holds Board Chairman positions in Origen Group, and Image Registrars and serves in several other institutions at the board level.

Mustafa Genc is Computer Studies and ICT Teacher. He is the Executive Director of Harmony Institute. Currently, he is pursuing Master of Arts Degree at the Institute for Social Transformation and specializing in Sustainable Development at Tangaza University College in Nairobi. He is Vice-Chairperson of “People on The Move” initiative and Co-founder of CANOPS (Climate Active National Organic Projects for Sustainable Prosperity and Equity in 47 Kenyan Counties).
